Diao Xin (also known as Diao Yun Xin), born in Nanjing, China, and currently residing in California, USA, is a Chinese-American ink painter and former chairman of the Overseas Chinese Painters Association of America. Diao Xin advocates for traditional painting techniques while emphasizing innovative experiences. He has created tens of thousands of works, including sketches, meticulous brushwork paintings, and freehand ink paintings. He focuses on figure depiction and painting style, adhering to artistic concepts and absorbing the essence of Western painting art, aesthetics, and artistic conception, integrating them into his own brushwork, rhythm, and thought. He believes that a painter must depict their inner world for their work to have meaning. He uses his artistic language to express life, spirit, and art.

 

Diao Xin has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United States and around the world, and over one hundred of his works are collected by collectors, galleries, and museums worldwide. He has organized and participated in numerous cultural and artistic exchange activities.
